Hello, Color Balance!
Color Balance is a falling block puzzle game inspired by a love for Tetris that was unfortunately not matched with skill of the same strength... In Color Balance the goal isn't to clear rows and stop the board from filling up like in Tetris, but instead to connect similarly colored blocks and maintain footing within the play zone without dropping too low or raising too high (or going too far left or right in some modes!).
As you clear blocks from the screen, the play zone will gradually shrink, and in the basic mode, colors will be removed from the pool until there are only two left, making it pretty tough to maintain a solid foundation!
This project began it's life as Sirtet, and has gradually transitioned to Color Balance primarily out of a far-overblown fear of certain holding group's legal hammer. It was just as a fun side project while I worked on some other game concepts, but it quickly evolved into a real passion project that I found myself prioritizing over my other projects.
Aside from a Basic Mode and Hard Mode, there will be numerous special challenge stages and plenty of unlockables (like the Space-themed blocks in the first gif!). I'll be posting updates as progress continues, and if you have any ideas for unlockable symbols, color palettes, stages, or anything else, please let me know!
